A Police Long Service Award, III Class for 8 Years consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac slight discolouration on the Medal(Dienstauszeichnung der Polizei III. Klasse fr 8 Jahre). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938 1945 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing an Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central number 8 circumscribed by an inscription of FR
