GESCH. 1" (Gesetzlich Geschtzt 1) on the reverse, measuring 48. 5 mm x 64. 7 mm, extremely fine. This particular buckle is illustrated on page 495 of "Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich, Revised Edition" by John R. Angolia and came from his personal collection.
