This is a wonderful example of a late 19th century Turner Style "Bench Rest" rifle. Basically, it was made with the intention of target shooting, with support, as the gun sports a MASSIVE octagonal barrel, which has barrel walls around 3 8" thick. With a 0. 39" bore, the barrel walls are nearly as wide as the interior. The top of this fine example is marked with the maker's information: W. L. HUDSON MAKER CIN. O We
